work orders

MOWRY ROAD / CANCER genetics building

The photo above shows an extension at the end of a crosswalk, of which, could possibly be an answer for the end of the crosswalk to the Cancer / Genetics Building.

hull road & mowry road

This picture is of Mowry Road and Hull Road intersection. The surface has a noticeable slope/drop-off that needs repair with an extra layer of asphalt before it becomes a serious problem.

orchard road / barb wire

The top of the fence is barb wire and it is so old that many strands have become loose or broken and it looks dangerous.

lakeside complex

The table pictured above could be a great ‘type’ of replacement table/bench or possibly no table/bench at all.

lacrosse field / extension cord

I am not sure if that is an extension cord or not, yet it has been there for over 2 years exposed to the weather.  It hangs from the top of the observation tower.  Is it safe to leave it that way or is someone just lazy?

signs everywhere needing repair

There are dozens of signs throughout campus that need some lettering re-done.  I have included a gallery photos of some of those signs.

phillips center / sidewalk

Although this sidewalk is to the side of the Phillips Center, I think the foot traffic on a night when there is an event could justify fixing the sidewalk.

human resources / building services

stephen o'connell center

The University of Florida Gymnastics won three (3) National Titles, consecutively, and the recognition on the outside of the O’Connell Center is to the side of the building behind some trees beside the handicapped parking.  I am not sure of what the problem is, yet they should have recognition on the outside in front of the Stephen O’Connell Center.

natural area park

The fence is in need of some dire help!

mccarty woods trail

I really do not consider this to be the best answer to fulfilling a work order of removal.

sw 11th street between sw 8th and 9th avenue (sororties)

Going the speed limit (20 MPH going from the south to north direction) is like the video of the driver in Canada!  Can it be fixed/repaired?  It may be the city’s responsibility, yet students and P.K. Younge individuals travel it by the 100’s if not over 1,000 vehicles every day bouncing up and down and their vehicles bottoming out.

found a gator fan!

This photo was taken early one morning as sunrise was happening.  I hope to find many more during the last weekend of football for the Gators!

Hinkley center for solid and hazardous waste material

There is an old piece of furnace that I noticed over two years ago.  I’m sure it does not serve a purpose?

grnh entomology / natural area Drive

Can those units be pressure washed?  They are not that attractive to look at.

just north of 'crops and soils field lab'

I guess the Florida ‘F’ sign was not worth saving!

‘Waste not, Want not’

Nov 8, 2023 — said to advise someone not to waste anything, because they might need it in the future. SMART Yet, don’t be a Hoarder!

crosswalk / west of honors hall

A crosswalk at the service entrance just west of the Honors Hall on Museum Road.  It sure needs to be re-layered in white lines.

crosswalk @ Museum Road and Woodlawn drive

This crosswalk needs new white layering on the lines, along with several others.

crosswalk / football complex

$40 million dollar brand new football complex and the crosswalk looks like that out front.  This crosswalk, as well as many others noted on this website, needs new white layering on the crosswalk.

crosswalk / across from track & field

This crosswalk needs new white layering on the lines, along with several others.

corner pothole / hull road and museum road

This is another pothole that needs asphalt and/or some other answer to prevent motor vehicles from cutting the corner to sharply.

opposite side / crosswalk / hull road and museum road

This is another pothole that needs asphalt and/or some other answer to prevent motor vehicles from cutting the corner to sharply.

behind florida gator softball field

There appears to be a road forming behind the Lady Gator softball field.  If it is going to be a continuous access point then maybe apply some ‘white gravel’ to prevent further erosion of the land.

corner pothole / museum road and memorial drive

This pothole is quite large and needs a lot of asphalt to prevent anymore deterioration of both roads.

Large Brick & Mortar sign blocked by lower tree limbs

The top of the very large sign is not visible by the street or by the sidewalk.  It needs some re-lettering and the lower limbs of the tree, blocking the sign, need to be trimmed or cut away to make it visible to drivers passing by.

trash around the nuclear field building for over two years

For some odd reason the exterior of this building gets little attention.  For over two (2) years the items as depicted in the photos, have not been removed and they seem to have no purpose.

Hull Road / Ballpark Way

UF filled the pothole less than a year ago with dirt, yet upon inspection today (11-19-2023) the pothole is now worse than ever before.  I have included a gallery of today’s photos of the pothole.

stadium road between Newell Drive and sw 13th street

There are numerou bricks that need a brick mason.  It has been like that for well over 2 years.  One area is right beside the ‘Office of the Dean of Architecture and Fine Arts Library’ sign.

Sidewalk up to Fine Arts Sign has a hole in it.

The sidewalk has a hole in the middle of it and it is a nice size hole that a student looking at their cellphone could trip on.

behind tigert hall there is a bench that nobody wants to sit on

If UF was being considered one of the most beautiful campuses in the country the bench would hold back that decision.  I don’t know of anyone that wants to sit on that mold and mildew riddened bench.

Little Hall needs a Brick Layer

There are numerous places around the parking lot side of Little Hall where the bricks are missing.

GO GATORS

The following 'Statement' is not about RepairUF.net yet for my own personal situation

On May 25, 2020, I applied for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program for independent contractors with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). My application faced numerous delays, and I received no help from the local Career Resource Center in Gainesville, even after sitting down with the director on three different occasions for 20 minutes each time over the course of numerous months. Now, Florida has informed me that it’s too late to claim the total $11,700 I was eligible for, which includes $600 per week and an additional $300 from March to October 2020. They haven’t processed my paperwork in five years and, of course, say I can’t recover these funds now.  They did not want to do the paperwork 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 year ago and they still do not want to do the paperwork!   Are there any lawyers who handle cases like this? If so, please contact me at Tim@FloridaDEOdidNotPay.com
