Natural Area Drive

This is an area where people have been cutting the corner too sharply thus driving on the grass and creating a pothole.  The pothole was filled and looks good, yet it looks like it could use a little more asphalt.

Inner Road / Architecture Bldg.

The sidewalk needed repairs for a long time since the 90s when I studied at the University of Florida. Now, the university has fixed the problem and found a lasting solution. This will benefit the students and staff who use the sidewalk.

Natural Area Drive

This is another area where the road is deteriorating and needs repair.  The small amount of asphalt applied is a reliable answer until the road can be re-paved in its entirety.

Hull Road / Bledsoe Drive

The lines on the pedestrian crossings have faded because of too many cars and people. Painting them again makes it safer for students, teachers, and visitors.

SW 2nd Ave / Sanders Field

This 35 mph sign has been hiding behind some limbs and the light pole.  The limbs were cut, yet the light pole is still there.  In any case, it is more visible now than before.

Museum Drive

Big trucks and machines were ruining the ground at this access point. UF decided to put white gravel there to protect the sidewalk and the ground but it took over 12 months to make that decision.

Ballpark Way

No wooden barricade around 5-6 foot deep hole

The only reason I post this 5-6 foot deep hole is because it took almost 4 months to fill the hole and it was only 1 foot from the sidewalk!  Very Dangerous.  They needed to put a wooden barricade around it.

Ballpark Way

This hole was on the opposite side with the fire hydrant.

The only reason I post this 6-foot-deep hole is because it took almost 4 months to fill the hole and it was only 1 foot from the sidewalk!  Very Dangerous.  They needed to put a wooden barricade around it.

McCarty Woods Trail

There was a concrete post lying beside the trail and I guess it was too heavy for one person to remove so it got tossed a little more to the side.  With the effort of two people, it could totally be removed from the trail.

The HUB sign

I think this sign is a lost cause!  UF attempted to straighten it up, yet as you can see it is not.  It just needs to be re-set in concrete so that it stands straight up instead of leaning back.

Lakeside Commons

The downspout was really bent outwards and it took 3-4 months for someone to realize that and attempt to push it back in place, yet it looks a lot better.

Orchard Drive

That fence was covered in vines and bushes and UF was able to remove those.  It looks a lot better!

Fine Arts C / Inner Road

That barricade was there for quite some time.  I think it had been forgotten about.  I was glad to see that someone had removed it.

College of Verterinary Medicine

The background of the College Veterinary School of Medicine brick-and-mortar sign was tremendously faded out, yet UF painted the background it looks Great!

GO GATORS

The following 'Statement' is not about RepairUF.net yet for my own personal situation

On May 25, 2020, I applied for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program for independent contractors with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). My application faced numerous delays, and I received no help from the local Career Resource Center in Gainesville, even after sitting down with the director on three different occasions for 20 minutes each time over the course of numerous months. Now, Florida has informed me that it’s too late to claim the total $11,700 I was eligible for, which includes $600 per week and an additional $300 from March to October 2020. They haven’t processed my paperwork in five years and, of course, say I can’t recover these funds now.  They did not want to do the paperwork 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 year ago and they still do not want to do the paperwork!   Are there any lawyers who handle cases like this? If so, please contact me at Tim@FloridaDEOdidNotPay.com
